This project is concerned with
the access to and preservation of original archive materials relating to the
slave trade. A feasibility study was prepared by the International Council on
Archives (ICA) under contract with UNESCO. The project was to run within the
framework of the Memory of the World Programme, in collaboration with the
International Scientific Committee for the Slave Route Project and with other
bodies.
